It’s the year of the polo shirt. Daniel is not a big fan of polo shirts. But he needs to realize that he looks really, really cute in polo shirts. Everything became real this morning when my little boy put on his school uniform. The sun was just going up. He ate breakfast, dressed, and away we went. He’s grown up so much since last year. There was no over-questioning or worry or concern. There were no real nerves. He’s still quiet because he’s always thinking, but this year he was excited. He smiled more. He has the same teacher as last year, so I know that helps with the nerves. He walked in the classroom ready to rock the day. I’m such a proud Mama.
Now excuse me as I go weep in the corner.

It does go so, so fast. My daughter starts PreK next week. I will be a puddle.
He is such a handsome boy. My son doesn’t like polos either. What’s up with that?! My mom once told me that once kids start school, it goes by so fast. My daughter will be in first grade this year. Mom was right. 🙁
